College Hoops is Here!

After a long delay from basketball, Friday marked the start of the college hoops season with Midnight Madness. Please allow this thread to be for general discussions about the event and our excitement that the games will start in less than a month!

This will be my first year really watching College basketball, so I'm a kinda a college basketball noob and could use some help. Anyone know where I can find a schedule if it's been announced yet for big colleges? any teams to really watch this year? I plan on watching teams like Kentucky, UCONN, Duke any other schools I need to watch?

North Carolina is probably the deepest team in the country. Seven or eight deep of NBA talent on that roster. And they play such a fun system so they're always a treat to watch.

It's always thrilling to watch the top players in college hoops. And there certainly is a ton of star power amongst the likes of the already mentioned Kentucky, Connecticut, Duke, and North Carolina. Perhaps a little biased here, but I am looking forward to seeing what the Buckeyes will bring to the table this year without Diebler or Lighty and seeing the expanded roles for Craft, Buford, and especially Deshawn Thomas (huge sleeper this year). Oh, and that Sullinger kid is pretty decent as well.

Baylor should be fun to watch as well with the talented and super athletic big men duo of Perry Jones and Quincy Miller (who was always considered a top 5 player in the 2011 class until he tore his ACL) along with high flyer Deuce Bello.

Should be a VERY exciting year of college basketball. Enjoy!

I want to see how the ACC shapes up this year. Of course UNC and Duke will be leading the charge but there are other teams that will battle them. FSU has as much athleticism as anyone in the country, how will Leonard Hamilton get that team to play consistently? And what about the Ga Tech? Maryland? Wake? NC ST? What happened to these programs? Growing up, those teams were big time. I remember Ga Tech being Point Guard U and Joe Smith killing kids at Maryland. Wake Forest with Childress and Paul and Duncan. NC ST has always been solid, remember Walter Hodge?

I'm going to watch this conference closely this year to see if these programs can come back to life on the national stage. UNC and Duke are a given, but who else will step up?
